Word UP Lotus Paperie Style!

Check it out...today if you go visit the scrap-a-licious gals over at One Little Word, you can see what amazing things they created with their Couture Collections! Yes, that's right, I'm a sponsor for OLW and their Word UP Challenge this week. I love how these guys rocked out such stellar pages!

Now, that means that if you are thinking about snapping up one of the few remaining kits, this is a really good time because they're disappearing FAST! And yesterday I was able to grab a quick photo of May's kit (but we're still waiting for the super cool vintage robot fabric to arrive) and those kits are available for immediate order (but don't worry, I won't ship them sans fabric!). The kit is listed in the sidebar and if you want both this month's Couture Collection and next month's, you can save yourself $14 and I'll ship 'em both in the same box (be sure to email me so we can set that up for you in the shopping cart)

Word UP!

Hey everyone, it's Wednesday and over at One Little Word, the word of the week is up! Be sure to head on over to see what the Creative Team has made using this great word and get started on your own pages so you can win the fantastic freebies that are up this week. I might even get on it this time. I've got sooooooo many projects on the go but I've always got time for one more page.

I'm going to get a hair cut today. Not so sure how I'm getting it done though. Haven't decided between just a great trim & maintenance cut for my long-ish hair or if I should whack it off and get something cute and sassy. I kinda like being able to wear a ponytail but it seems that's the only way I wear it. Defeats the purpose, don't ya think? Maybe it'll be solved by getting a great long style. We'll see. My pal, Holly does my hair so I'll have to see what she thinks. I'm not very emotionally attached to my hair so decisions like this are not usually very hard. I'll post pics later today or tomorrow once I've gotten back from town. Wish me luck! LOL

Amy Tangerine

During January, One Little Word did a major giveaway to their loyal wordsters and in that giveaway of oodles of prizes was the January Couture Collection. The winner of that prize was Amy Tangerine, an extremely talented scrapbooker who also happens to be a T-shirt designer too. Clearly, this gal's got the creative gene! She received her Collection and I guess she got right down to creating with it because this morning I was greeted with a very friendly note in my inbox with a link to her page at SIS TV. I absolutely LOVE seeing what everyone makes with their Couture Collections and hope to see more of all y'all's work in the future. So here's some eye candy for today.

I'm on the quest for creative Valentines goodies for my 9 year old son today...I was GONNA make fortune cookies but they were NOT working out so I had to admit defeat in the cookie dep't. today. So it might end up being mini take-out boxes filled with candy (ACK, did I just say I was gonna give them candy?? I must be losing my mind) We'll see how much time I have and how far I get with all that icky work stuff. Happy Hump-day!! On your mark...get set... GO!

Challenge 53 - Meet Ronda

I love the opportunity that comes with new beginnings and let's face it, the best new beginning that you get to do over and over comes every January. With this January comes one big fat super duper new beginning and that is with our design team. This year, I have the honor of introducing you to Ronda Palazzari, our newest member of the Team. She is, by no means, a scrapbook rookie. She teaches at her local scrap shop and is the owner of and on the creative team for One Little Word. Now, you all know how much I love OLW...I'm kind of a groupie I guess you could say. So it's understandable as to why I'm so excited to have Ronda on our team. She's brimming with ideas, creativity and talent...just look at her page for this week. Man, I love change. So exciting & inspiring!

Also, our sketch for this week is a Lotus Paperie sketch which, as you can see by the pages below, can be translated so many ways. I think I'm not the only one feeling inspired these days.
Remember to upload your pages to our Flickr group to get your name in the hat for your own Couture Collection!

Word Up! *FULL*

Well guys, can you believe OLW's word is up again?!? The word this time is "FULL". The pages on their blog are unbelievable and sure to inspire you to dig out a photo or two to scrap for this great word. Here's my page for "FULL"
and if you remember, yesterday I said that I'd be scrapping a page for World Kindness Day. I made it late last night so here's what I created in honor of World Kindness Day.

Now, if you remember from a while back, I told you about my newest book purchase, "That's Life - finding scrapbook inspiration in the everyday" by Nic Howard (Go here to read her rockstar blog!) The following page was created using one of the prompts from the book about documenting the everyday stuff in an effort to fill in a few blanks about me as a quirky individual. This page served as a bit of a scrapbooking warm-up after such a lengthy separation from my supplies. I'm sure I lost a bit of my mojo in that three months, but it seems to be making a comeback! YAY!!!

Challenge 45 - Getting Settled

Here it is...the moment you've all been waiting for...this week's sketch is here and boy, it's a great one. I have to say, it felt so weird for me to actually scrap a page and post it online. I noticed as i was attempting to interpret this week's sketch that I have become a little rusty from lack of use of my scrap-skills. However, it was an important page as it definitely marked a turning point. I am HOME and I am ready to rock!! I'll try and post a few studio pics at some point in the next little while (I know you are all curious to see how it turned out).

I was so thrilled to see this week's pages from our Team, everyone seemed to really challenge themselves and push their comfort zones a little. The end results are definitely very impressive. Each page is so unique to the artist which is such an amazing thing since they were all given the same supplies (they add some of their own stuff too) and each kit yields some dynamite results.

Be sure to participate in this month's challenges and upload your pages to our Flickr gallery so you can be in the running to receive this month's page kit!
