Challenge 139

Hello Friday! :)
This week we challenge you to
alter something!!!
I came up with this week's challenge because I personally needed this challenge. I'm not as into altering because although I love everyone else's pretty things I usually can't come up with something that isn't going to just add clutter to my home. I like useful things that I don't need to dust and so I am totally thrilled with what I came up with. :)
Before we begin I need to let you know about the voting on these layouts...there is still 4 days left to vote!
There is still 4 days left to lift Bree's layouts too.
Want to join a really cool network of friends and share your artwork as well as find inspiration? Join the Lotus Paperie network!
Here's the beautiful altered art the design team made for us. I love every bit of it. If you would like to join our challenges here's the FAQ page to get you started.

Challenge 138

Hey again :) Looks like it's another Friday and that means we've got a bunch of new layouts to share. This week was a really fun sketch that allows for using one of the trendiest die-cut paper shapes out there! I loved this one because I got to use a diecut from my stash-ahead-for-winter Kenner Road kits but traced it onto cardstock.

We've got contests & challenges comin' out the ying-yang this week too! So, in addition to using this week's challenge, we've got a vote on the sidebar to choose a favorite from the layouts featured HERE. If you want to get a shot at being a finalist, find out how on our FAQ page.

Also, there's a little more time for you to share the link to your scraplift of Bree's layouts in the comments section of THIS post. Get your links up by the last day of this month for a stab at a delicious freebie!

And if that wasn't enough to keep you busy, be sure to join our Network if you haven't already. The group is growing and we wanna see your work and get to know you personally :)

Time to choose a favorite!

Alright, so we're way late in getting this info up...sorry. There's eleven more sleeps till the kids go back to school and I'm thinkin' that might just mean that life could get back to normal (what a concept!). We've got three kick-ass layouts for you to check out, they're the DT's favorites that you have shared with us in our Flickr Group. There were overwhelming options this month and I get all giddy when I see you guys rockin' out layouts like this. Raises the bar month after month.

There were SO many layouts shared this month, it was really hard to narrow it down to just three. Below are the layouts we're voting on and since the vote is going up a bit late,we'll air it until September 2nd. If you want to see more of each artist's work, just click on their name and you can see the rest of their treasures shared on their individual Flickr pages.

Don't forget to spread the word about this poll on your blogs, chat groups, forums and any other place where we can get more visitors voting on everyone's layouts. Good luck everyone and thanks a bunch to everyone else who participated in the challenges. Keep on playing...you never know when your page will be chosen as a finalist!

Oh ya, if you haven't already joined, be sure to go HERE and get your profile activated in our new network. There's galleries, chat features, so many fun goodies. C'mon over! The more the merrier!

Challenge 137

edited:: Tania D's layouts arrived!! Check them out below. Hopefully this means the Swine Flu has left her house!!

When I had initially chosen this week's challenge, I pictured in my mind's eye a very relaxing, creative, soothing experience...instead what I got was total self-induced pressure and lots of tension while trying to force my creative vibes to get in sync with my available crafting time (which is very limited these days!) I was beginning to panic as I considered the possibility of either not being able to create a layout at all or worse, a really really terrible layout. I wasn't keen on either option but somehow my mojo came back just when I needed it the most. I found a photo of Sethy that I love and magically, everything was right in the universe and I found my happy place again! YAY!

This week's challenge is to use watercolor paints (tubes, pencils/crayons, whatever!) I just got new watercolor crayons (from my friendly neighborhood Stampin' Up! lady) and was super excited when I was able to use them with my new Kenner Road kit (Woot!) Super stoked with the pairing between the two.

Show us your stuff and create a layout with this week's challenge. Wanna get the scoop on how to play? Go HERE to learn more.

Don't forget we've got a super fun scraplift contest going on HERE and we'll have another poll going up in the next few days too and you know that always brings with it more freebies! HOORAY!

This week is based on a sketch

Also don't forget about the challenge to lift Bree's layouts here.
