Wedding Goodies

Wow, only fourteen days to go! That means there's only seven days till birthday week starts!!! YAHOO! I've been really enjoying March (despite my icky cold). I'm participating in a Wedding Show next weekend and have been working super hard on creating new samples and gorgeous complete wedding packages. Have a look at the one below. It's definitely my favorite collection. I'm super excited about working with our local brides. They have it so hard up here because EVERYTHING is so hard to find so hopefully my services make their lives a little easier. I'm also going to be offering these collections on Etsy.

I have a few errands to do today and I really can't wait to get back to the studio and get working on more goodies for the Wedding Show. I'll post more samples as they're ready. If you want to know more about this and other collections, please visit the Wedding Gallery.

Etsy Goodness...

I spent yesterday and part of today creating a few new tidbits for my Etsy shop and also managed to snap a few pics of this month's Book of the Month, Live Good by Kobi Yamada. This is a really great little book, a super fast read but easy to read over and over. It's bursting with fantastic quotes- most of which are probably totally new to you and not the over used quotes that are in circulation. These are so fresh and unique that all the potency of the message is fully intact. It's a really inexpensive purchase and a fantastic gift. Once I get on top of the projects that I've fallen a little behind on, I'll definitely blog my projects related to this book.

So these are some of the newest cards available at my Etsy Shop. Go check them out. There are several of most designs so you better snap 'em up while they're still in stock.

Uh Oh...It's my turn

Oh man. I thought I was going to get off lucky this time. Guess not. Ray just recovered from a very tenacious cold and it decided to take up residence in my head. My head feels like it's full of fluff and I can barely keep my eyes open. Even my spelling is atrocious (I'm blaming it on poor coordination rather than a temporary loss of spelling talent!LOL) so I'm very grateful for spellcheck right now. I hope this passes quickly. My fingers are crossed that my crazy cocktail of oil of oregano supplements, herbal throat syrup, home made neocitran with lemon juice, honey, ginger and hot water and maybe some Chinese cold pills will sort me out.

I spent the entire day in the studio working on new inventory for the Etsy shop and hopefully it'll be up by early next week. I'll post a few pics here so you can see what's new in the shop. There's some dynamite thank you, birthday & baby announcement cards coming up. I almost want to keep them for myself.

Tomorrow, I'll be posting about March's Book of the Month - and no, it's NOT "A New Earth" by Eckhart Tolle. I want to read this book but my plate is WAY too full right now to start yet another project. Are any of you reading it? Give me your thoughts on that one. Anyway, I'm going to numb my brain for a little while then get to bed early. Enjoy the rest of your day.

Madera Island Couture Collection

The weekend is slowly drawing to a close and my Etsy Shop is slowly filling up. I've added scrapbook albums, journals, and tons of new cards. In other news, the new Couture Collection is here, live and in the flesh! There is so much stuff in this Collection...truckloads of paper and equally as many embellishments. The papers are from SEI, six are cardstock weight and double sided and one is the most delicious paper you've EVER seen... it is a great vine print in gold, brown & white and it is flocked...YUMMY! Four of the cardstock colors (orange, gold, brown & sand) are from SEI and have a different intensity of the color on each side. The remaining three are Bazzill cardstock.

The list of embellishments is long...and enticing! You'll receive 1 yard of tiny dark brown rickrack, three bronze pearl hatpins, a length of five vintage orange-toned stamps, a silver numbered tag, 3 holographic orange daisies, 5 tiny coral colored paper posies, a Versa Magic mini chalk ink in 'Pumpkin Spice', a yellow library tag, two orange manila tags, and three woodgrain journaling tags by Elle's Studio. The last thing on the list is 10 mini coaster tags which coordinate perfectly with the Madera Island papers. Also, each kit will also contain four custom multi-layered felt flowers created especially for this kit by Carefree Glimmer. A few random Collections will also feature the vintage rusty metal cardinal charms.

The Design Team will have new pages going up this Friday using all these dynamite products...Get yours soon! They're selling really fast and I'd hate for you to miss out!

Saturday Morning...

You know, Etsy is proving to be way more fun than I thought it would be. I've done the Ebay thing before and it's just not half as fun as Etsy. So I'm going to spend today out in the studio while the kids play outside and Ray plows our very large, very very snowy driveway! We got about a foot the other day and it's really too deep to go anywhere in so plowing has gotta happen but luckily , it's a really gorgeous and sunny day.

I've been working my fingers to the bone getting sample packages ready for the wedding show on March 15& 16 so hopefully sometime over the weekend, I'll have them photographed and uploaded on my Wedding Gallery page for everyone to see. I must say, the sure turned out great!

When Ray and I got married almost five years ago, we really had a shotgun wedding. It took me six weeks to plan it and it was not exactly what I had imagined my wedding would be. I loved every minute of it but it was slightly hurried. I was five months pregnant and the reception was a mere formality moreso than an actual party and due to the rushed nature of our wedding timeline (we wanted to be married before the baby came) we weren't able to invite all the guests we wanted to. We decided to have a reception do-over on our fifth wedding anniversary. That's this fall so I think I'll use some of my new invitation designs when I send out invites to our nearest and dearest for our Reception Do-Over Party in November. Of course, that also means I have a great reason to buy a dynamite new party dress!LOL

Well, the day is moving on without me so I'm going to head out to the studio now. Enjoy your Saturday!
