It's here!

I just got home from town. We hit the post office and I picked up my birthday week package from Karen...

can I tell you how hard it is to root through this box and search for the one marked "day 1" and not peek at the rest! Man, I do NOT have that kind of discipline, but at the risk of being 'docked' next year for not following the make-them-up-as-you-go rules, I thought I better not peek.

Good thing Karen included her very decorative disclaimer on this package...

What a treat! I love a good cup of tea and these look like they're gonna be a lovely (temporary) replacement for those evening glasses of wine...

and really what good is new fancy loose leaf organic tea without a new fancy Starbucks mug. Gee, Karen, I think we're starting a birthday-mug tradition. I guess I can retire my pink gerbera one from a few years back...
How fun! I love birthday week. These little treasures are so delightful to unwrap (even if they aren't shoes) and I swear, every week should be birthday week!! Thanks so much Karen. I'm sipping my new tea as I write this

It is deliciously fun to read this and know that each day it will give you a smile. I think it will be as much fun as it was to put the box together.
Yes, the mug was meant to be the beginning of a b-day tradition.

Wow, aren't you the lucky one lol. Even if they aren't shoes. Nothing wrong with a new pair of shoes every now and then! I'm thinking instead of birthday week I should go for "a present for every year I celebrate." That way with every birthday I will look more and more forward to aging ;o) and less and less happy about what box I have to check for my age bracket. Stupid little boxes.

Happy Birthday!!

Hi Vanessa, can't wait to see what you get each day. I wanted to make sure that you got my e-mail.

I totally love the idea of birthday week...my sister and I usually do something fun for each other on our birthday's but I am really liking the whole birthday week idea...so I am thinking of suggesting to her that we combine our tradition with the this new idea and come up with a new concept. Which always ends with either a family dinner or going out to a new restaurant that we haven't been to. This year it will be in New York and we are heading off to Gordon Ramseys's lead restaurant.
